In collaboration with ‘Salome Art Venture’ Leon Keer published a beautiful series of fine art giclee prints from the Lego themed paintings. Leon Keer is also the artist behind ‘Ego Leonard’ which was long time his pseudonym for this Lego themed paintings.
The Lego paintings and prints with their innocent looking figures belong to the best of contemporary Pop Surrealism. They are cheerful but also contain social criticism. A distinctive feature of Leon Keer’s original artworks is that they are painted over old maps to strengthen their message.
